My role focused on helping shape a scalable digital experience that could support a high volume of editorial content while still feeling organized, branded, and easy to navigate. The design needed to connect DraftKings’ sportsbook ecosystem with editorial storytelling, odds-based content, fantasy insights, and betting education in a way that felt natural and useful.
The goal was to design an experience that felt immediate, credible, and easy to use for fans who needed quick access to sports news, betting guidance, daily fantasy strategy, player props, lines, spreads, and expert recommendations.
Challenges
DraftKings Network publishes across many sports, content types, and betting categories. The challenge was designing a system that could handle breaking news, game previews, betting picks, fantasy advice, player props, injuries, odds movement, and evergreen betting resources without overwhelming the user.
Sports betting content can quickly become dense, especially when dealing with spreads, totals, moneylines, props, betting splits, and odds analysis. The experience needed to make this information scannable and approachable while still providing enough depth for more experienced bettors.
Because the platform covers so many leagues and categories, the navigation needed to help users quickly move between sports, picks, odds, fantasy advice, betting splits, parlays, player props, injury reports, and matchup-specific content. DraftKings Network includes dedicated areas for sports betting picks, fantasy advice, odds, lines, spreads, betting splits, and player props.
Solutions
I helped shape a flexible website design that could support multiple sports, content formats, editorial modules, live updates, odds-based tools, and betting resources. The layout system allowed DraftKings Network to publish a large volume of content while maintaining a consistent brand experience across the site.
The design emphasized strong category structure, article cards, featured stories, trending topics, sport-specific hubs, and clear labeling for content types such as betting picks, fantasy advice, sportsbook insights, injury updates, odds, and player props. This helped users quickly understand what they were looking at and where to go next.
Key betting resources were surfaced in a way that made them easier to discover and use. The experience supported sections for odds, lines, spreads, betting splits, parlays, and player props, helping users move from research to decision-making more efficiently. DraftKings Network’s betting splits explain bet percentage and handle percentage for spreads, totals, and moneylines, while its player props page highlights popular props from DraftKings Sportsbook.
